The first ever Halloween Bash is this Saturday, October 28th from 10am-1pm. Join us at Henderson Free Library for Story Time, snacks, music, crafts, Poke a Pumpkin, a Photo Booth, and more! Show off your costume and celebrate Halloween with us here at Henderson Free Library.
Story Time will continue to be on Saturdays at 10am in the Children’s section of the library. Children will have the opportunity to listen to stories, participate in a craft, and enjoy a snack. This program is geared toward Pre-K ages, but children of all ages are welcome.
The Blind Date with a Book program will run through the end of Fall and most of Winter. If you’re in a reading slump, want to find a new author or genre, or just want to try something new, the Blind Date with a Book program is just for you! This Adult Program lets patrons go on a “Blind Date” with one of the wrapped books from the display in the library. Each Blind Date book has the genre, summary, and a quote from the book on the wrapping so patrons can decide for themselves which date with a book sounds the best!

Poke a Pumpkin is another kids program available for the month of October. Kids can come into the library and “Poke” the pumpkin located at the circulation desk to see what’s inside! Different “Poke a” programs will be available every month for kids to enjoy and have a chance to see what Henderson Free Library offers to the community.

Lego Wednesday’s is another children’s program offered for children of all ages. Every Wednesday from 1pm-5pm, Lego sets and larger Legos will be available to children for free play. Legos are provided by the Henderson Free Library for children to socialize, experiment, collaborate, and use their imagination with! This program will run through the Fall and Winter.
